Politics confound me anymore
I have been following the debate over universal health care to a degree. I think it is wrong for the government to legislate that we buy health insurance but at the same time I am sorry that some people don't have access to health care because of money, no job or a pre existing condition. I hear the bickering going on. I hear the messages left by constituents to politicians of both parties. I work in the health insurance field and see firsthand how people hurt and need help. At the same time this country will go broke if it gives everyone substandard rationed health care.
I am going thru some personal issues in my life at the moment and frankly I am so sick of politicians arguing with one another over something so needed by everyone. One huge hospital bill can send a family into bankruptcy and that isn't fair.
I see the Democrats wanting to give everything away for free and the Republicans not wanting to give an inch to cover those who need it. I see people die from lack of health care in the USA due to no money but also in socialized medicine countries where care is rationed.
Because of this I feel as though I want to become unaffiliated politically. I am so sick of anger and have seen the repercussions of anger all around me. Politicians are unwilling to forgive one another and ultimately their constituents are hurt. Something has to change with the political process and its matter of civility and non civility in this country.
